There are a few things that the intrepid letterpress printer needs every once in a while. Good strong press magnets fall into this category. After looking for just the right kind* and not finding them, we set out to have them made for us. Like most other Dry Inc tools, it just doesn't make any sense to have only a few made. We went for 1000 of these babies, so not you can get some too!

The ceramic magnet is sandwiched between two steel side plates. The physics of this are beyond me but the steel amps up the magnetism and they are not likely to move. They can be lifted with a slight twist and a strong grip. The size is 2" x .800" x  .450”. All 6 sides are 90° Angles for tight lockup alignment and the corners are rounded as to not nick your hands

We considered branding them with the Dry Inc logo but that would have driven up the price, so these are blank. You can write 'Dry Inc' in sharpie if you want.

Also offering in 15 packs as this is how we received them and you might have a crazy lockup and need 15 magnets (or a studio with several presses and students who want to leave lockups on galleys for years after they graduate.)

*The perfect galley magnet IMHO is the Foster Magnet-Lock made by the Foster Manufacturing company of Philadelphia. They stopped making magnets a long time ago
