In working with the Bixler Letterfoundry in Skaneatles NY, we have found some odds and ends that were cast years ago and have been in storage. These are in limited supply and once sold will not likely be recast.
The classic Leaf ornament or Fleuron is a staple for fine press books and poetry broadsides. This particular one is a 48pt Monotype ornament (#1036) cast on a Monotype Supercaster at the Bixler Letterfoundry. Michael Bixler formulates his type metal to be a bit harder and longer lasting that standard monotype metal. This set of 6 Fleurons should last you a long time.
