This print edition was created using extra large wood type blocks A, B & C. The overlay intent is to obscure any literal reading of the letters as words and rather present a study in color and form. This is from an ongoing series of prints which use vintage letterpress printing blocks as raw material for relief prints with a modernist approach. Imperfections in the blocks from close to a century of use and their inherent woodgrain add to the depth and composition.
