This letterpress print by Amelia Hugill-Fontanel features the ever curious manicule (AKA Printer's fist, Index, pointer, and other names.) It was originally hand drawn in manuscripts to draw attention to certain passages and later made into printers ornaments for similar uses. It features in popular culture in unexpected ways (See the Beatles Yellow Submarine animated feature with the "Dreadful Flying Glove".) This print is hand-printed in four colors and features large wood manicules along with hand-set metal type.
