Vintage Linen Tester (AKA Loupe, Magnifying glass, Embiggerer)
We have recently acquired a small cache of these beautiful vintage Linen Testers. They were originally imported into the US in the late 1930s by a gentleman in the ink industry. His son has given Dry Inc. the opportunity to distribute them, so here we are! They have a nice heft to them. Not quite sure of the magnification factor...or the manufacturer. There are no measurement marks on the device itself, but the base opening is 3cm x 3cm. A loupe is an absolutely essential tool for the print shop and this might be the nicest one I have come across!
